Southern girl that I am, I must admit that I have a love of good food. Even though I was not brought up on fast food, I love it. I have in the last few years come to have an adversity to some fast food because of the need to supersize everything. Or when looked at closely have so much sodium calories and fat that no one should be eating them.
One of the worst in my area is Carl’s Jr. Why in the world would you need to top a burger with a Philly cheese steak? I don’t dine there because most of their sandwiches are so sloppy you can’t eat them with any dignity. And the calorie count is over the roof. Supersizing and pushing more food than was originally ordered is a common joke. Want fries with that?
We have hit an epidemic of obesity, high blood pressure, and diabetes. I would think some smart person would work on a restaurant that caters to healthy, good tasting, foods. We need to get a hold of our current health problems and the need for foods that meet the fast paced lifestyle we all lead.
Am I dreaming of something that is not possible? I think not! We just have to find someone forward thinking enough to fill this niche!

Over the years religious zealots have brought to the table more hate than can be reckoned with. The latest example at hand is Rev Terry Jones who jumped into the spot light by saying he would burn the Quran, the holy bible of the Islamic people. Now in America, a country built on religious [...]

I was raised with a strong sense of responsibility and developed a deep maternal instinct. These two virtues can cause me to grind my back molars down to nubs when I witness people that lack either of the two virtues. After reading today’s Parade section about a young woman who desired to become a mother [...]
