There must be something wrong with women like octo-mom Nadya Suleman and the 66 year old woman who tricked a fertility clinic into treating her with In vitro drugs so she could get pregnant. She went on to have twin boys and now she is dead leaving these poor kids without a father or mother.

Procreation has a strong pull for some women but there comes a time when anyone with an ounce of sense will know when to leave well enough alone. Man has in some cases gone where no man should go. Providing one mother with 14 kids under seven was one such case. Now a woman chooses to have these twins. They have no one to care for them and the woman must have thought that getting her name in the record book made it all worth while.

I think there is a reason why we don’t have children at such a late time in life. First you may not be around to finish the job of raising them. Next, young children are a large responsibility. It takes patience and energy to give the kids the life they deserve. There is now an older woman who wants to get pregnant. This woman is 70 years old! I hope the doctors put a stop to this craziness.

Where has the common sense gone from today’s world? Just because you can do something does not mean you should do it. Sixty and seventy are a time to be grandmother. Where you can have the grand kids for a short time then send them home when you get tired..

One more thing to consider. My mother had a child at 44. My sister was often mistaken for a grand child causing her to be embarrassed. Ladies before you have a child at some insane age give thought of the reality of the task at hand! It’s not about YOU! It’s about THEM!

If you have been reading my blog and noticed some of my posts, you should have come to the conclusion that I am a passionate, highly opinionated, person. If I see injustice or wrong doing, I will speak out. I fought with my daughter about trying to write a blog, but now enjoy it! I want people to read them and share with me their thoughts about what I write. To that end, I have been trying some hints to get people to stop by my blog.

Joining Myspace was one hint I wish had been left out! I thought I would find people in forums who I could exchange thoughts and ideas with on a wide range of topics. Instead I have found mean spirited people who treat any tries at a civil conversation as a joke or something to make fun at. These are to me the same people who have made Simon Cowel an icon when I think he is the biggest ass in the world. Why tear someone down so badly when you can say the same thing and leave them with some dignity?

Why does the new generation feel the need to hurt people just to make themselves look like a big man or woman? Hiding behind a keyboard and taking potshots at people is cowardly. Myspace is becoming a %$#%#$% cesspool!

Since you are reading this, it means you have a computer. It also means you get tons of e-mail from spam to things that touch the heart and the funny bone.

One such e-mail came to me this week and I have been chuckling about it for days. The title was: “How old is Grandpa?” It went on to ask you if remember when there was no such thing as a cell phone, an IPod, McDonalds, and when Coke was a refreshing drink. Pot was that thing your mom stirred up wonderful meals in and most families had two parents in the home.

The one that made me go “mmm” was when there was no computer. Well this wonderful invention is my lifeline to the outside world. I talk to some of my friends who live in town keeping them in the loop when something happens. I just e-mail them all in just a few minutes.

Then there are my friends across the country. My Marilyn McCoo look alike sister-in-law and I have built a relationship that I treasure. I have reconnected with a high school classmates. There are two gentlemen that I had a twelve year close relationships with. We went through divorces, strokes, heart attacks, and many other life changing events together. So the computer, which has been called distant and aloof, can bring people together in warm, intimate relationships.

To get back to the question, “How old Grandpa is”, well hold your breath. He was only 59! Wow, that means I remember not having all those things! How did we ever survive without them?
