Oh no she didn’t say that!
Oprah Winfrey is one of the richest and most influential women in America and maybe the world. But on the 29th of January 2010, she made the statement that her live in boy friend didn’t want her to have new dogs. He relented and said she could have two but not the third she wanted.
Now folks I don’t have her wealth and I don’t get in front of people every day and pass out advice. So who am I to say that she is a big joke. But I will say this. If it was my house and I brought in the kind of money she does, the dogs would come in and he would go!
I know this to be true of myself because when my ex left and a male wanted to come into my house, he thought I should put my little poodle outside to live. I told him I was not the girl for him. The dogs were staying and I sent him packing back to Atlanta!
Oprah do you need that man so badly that he calls the shots? You can afford to hire people to take care of your pets so they wouldn’t be a problem. Steadman is pushing you around and you let him.
Get a gripe girl! At fifty you should be strong enough to stand on your own two feet.

Do you believe that was the simplest way to make your point?

Do you not think it’d be better to consider carefully about this? That is not to imply you are incorrect, but when you say something similar to this, it will piss off some people. And I wonder if you have given thought to the opposite side of your post.

I usually agree with your article content, but in this case I am sorry to say that I do not share your views.

Woah, I would not have gone there personally, but this is a pretty good entry. Maybe you should allow me to post a guest post to share my feelings about the opposite side of this subject.

Do you actually think that’s true? You did a good job expressing your point, but I think you must put a little more thought in this debate and perhaps post an answer to the other side of this argument.

Thanks to all who responded to my post Oh no she didn’t say that. I said when I first started writing that these were my observation from my point of view. When I write about medical issues I write from my forty plus years as a nurse and from all the reading I do before I post an item Because I disagreed with Oprah’s decision to let Steadman tell how many dogs she could have was my thoughts on the issue. I admire Oprah and she does a great number of wonderful things but there are areas where I disagree with her. Folk that is my right as it is yours to stand by her no matter what Lets keep the dialogue coming. We can agree to disagree.

Why are your respondents getting their panties in a wad about Oprah and her choices of how many dogs she or he or whoever wants in the house. Oprah is a big girl (50) and she should make up her own mind about her pet population. Is there a wedding ring on her finger. Life is too short…have as many pets as you want as long as you can afford them and care for them and go to the shelter and rescue a needy animal if you are so inclined. Thats one gal’s opinion.
