All the pusher aren’t in the streets

The business world continues to see corrupt companies with money operate even if the products they tout are ineffective.

Eli Lilly, a company that has been in business for many years, is now being sued for pushing doctors to recommend Zyprexa. This drug is meant to be used for the treatment of schizophrenia and not to be used in the treatment of the elderly with dementia. This drug not only doesn’t work for dementia but is dangerous for the elderly.

Why would a company do such a thing? Well it might be because of the almighty dollar. The harm it could do to the patients was not considered at all. Lilly ’s own studies showed that the medication was not to be used on the elderly! Last year Lilly made 14.6 Billion dollars on this drug. Yes that’s BILLION with a large B! Greed, that green eyed monster, continues to rear its ugly head.

We, the public, must get off our lazy butts and make companies responsible to us, the consumers. No more getting away with harmful practices and being hit with fines that come out of PETTY CASH!
