Yes indeedy,..everything is now made in China and it looks like nothing is going to change...Sears products did in deed last for many years....yes that was years ago....now one is lucky if the product last for 3-5 years. It is ashame about customer service...I keep saying that is the entitled youth and they have no respect for anyone. I was in Albertsons the other day and I purchased a couple of Proctor and Gamble products and the ad on the shelf stated that if you buy $20.00 worth of their products, you would receive a $5.00 rebate certificate. Well I always watch when I check out at the check out counter- and low and behold, NO $5,00 rebate certificate and when I mentioned it to the cashier...you would have thought that I was trying to rob the place....she then sent me to the customer service desk and the employee checked out the shelf where I found the products and she agreed that it qualified for the $5.00 rebate...the certificate would not print out on her register so she calls for the manager.....no manager.....wait and wait and wait and in the meantime my freezer food was thawing out..the manager did not appear but the assistant manager did and she checked out the shelf and rang the products up for the third time and guess what? You got it...no rebate certificate...by this time, there were other customers in line behind me and they were getting upset. Finally, the assistant manager gave me $5.00 worth of coupons and as I was about to leave the store, the manager comes by and gave the assistant manager the third-degree and looked at me as if I was trying to stiff the place. He could understand the whole concept. He never said sorry for the delay-inconvience-mistake...he just stared at me in disbelief. I said "thanks for your help" and took off with my melting ice cream and other warm groceries. So, yes customer service sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
