Congratulation to all my sisters from everywhere on this planet and in all walks of life!

International Women’s Day came into play in the early 1900′s as a way for women to celebrate the hard work and achievements of women in every corner of he world. The early Women’s Day was celebrated on the last Sunday in February. In 1913, it was decided that Women’s Day would be on March 9th, of each year. And in some countries women are showered by their male counterparts with small gifts. Women are still not granted equal pay or opportunities in the work place. And we are still the object of violence and second class treatment.

The job is not done. Yes, there are high profile women in politics. We are CEO’s of companies and girls can go to school with the expectation of working and having a family. We must continue to fight for the rights of women everywhere. And celebrate the achievements made by others.

It has been stated that we must think globally but act locally. To make sure each girl’s day is safe, equally rewarding, and bright. We must make each day International Women’s Day!
