Fake CPR Cards
At a hospital in West Covina, California, it was reported that 50 health care workers were fired or quit due to having fake CPR cards. There is no justification for this.
You are sworn to give the best care possible to people who are at your mercy. Oh, I know all the excuses they will give. I don’t have the time. It’s the same thing every time. Well, Bull Shit!! You need to be up on the latest method of life saving skills. I have taken that class so many times, and grumbled about going to these classes. But I went!
After 43 years, believe me, I had been to many recertification classes. But each time I attended the required classes, I learned maybe one little thing I needed to know. And no, I never used it in all that time I was working. Unlike my son who is a LPT( the equal of a LPN in the psychiatric sector). He has done this many times on the ward and while answering code blues on other wards.
I say to all these people. You failed your patients. You failed your profession and you failed your kid. How can you ever tell them not to cheat when they know you thought so little of yourself and your job as to cheat yourself?
